Our People

Dicontas’s sole business is in the provision and supply of centralised (outsourced) human-based email content assessment and email administration services for customers who monitor and filter their email communications for suspicious and offensive content.

Dicontas was formed to solely supply these services and do not provide any other outsourced ‘call-centre’ type activities. This allows us to select, recruit, train and retain the correct calibre and levels of staff needed when their job entails dealing with increasing amounts of offensive materials day in, day out.

All our employees have signed a confidentiality agreement and have been vetted by the proper authorities in the handling of potentially offensive and illegal materials.

Our IT Infrastructure & Support staff are highly skilled to ensure maximum operational uptime and to ensure that all technical service requests are dealt with promptly, professionally and in meeting with our customers expectations.

All our systems development work is carried out internally by our IT Development Team who use the latest development and testing methodologies to ensure security, quality and robustness are embedded into all of our internal system applications.

Office Infrastructure

Our office premises are manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have secured access to our server and communication equipment with intruder alarm and security-access locks into the Server Communications room.

Our production systems are protected by uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to protect against data loss in the event of a power loss.

Dicontas - Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure

ICT Infrastructure

Dicontas have heavily invested in our information and communication technology (ICT) to provide secure and robust systems that enhance our business operations and service levels.

We have three layers of industry-strength firewall protection to guard against unauthorised computer access.

Our entire server infrastructure consists of Dell PowerEdge equipment and uses the latest, stable server operation system platforms where all security patches are frequently applied to guard against malware, spyware and other known security holes.

We use business-grade server, storage, network and internet communication equipment. All our servers have RAID with battery backup cache to protect against data loss in the event of a disk failure. We own enough processing and storage capacity to handle 250,000 email user accounts with up to two years of management report data.

All databases are enterprise-grade and critical data files are fully encrypted.

We have redundant links to the internet to protect against a failure at the Internet Service Provider (ISP) level.

We use three levels of anti-virus scanning using two different anti-virus suppliers to detect and eradicate the latest known virus threats.

All our production staff use secure thin client terminals to protect against computer viruses and other common computer security holes that are widespread in other rich-client PC workstation operating systems.

We have three layers of security access for operational staff to gain authorised access onto our production systems.
